Pianist · Educator · Frankfurt University of Music Graduate
Online piano lessons rooted in decades of study, research, and performance — crafted individually for every student, from first notes to concert stage.
My passion for the piano began at the age of six, and has never stopped. In 2005, shortly before leaving for Germany, I won First Prize at the Panhellenic Piano Competition of the "Filonas" Cultural Centre in Athens — one of the longest-running competitions for young pianists in Greece.
My path then led me to Germany, where I graduated with a Diploma from Frankfurt's University of Music and Performing Arts (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main) — one of Europe's most prestigious Universities.
I studied under Professor Roland Krüger (student of Krystian Zimerman) and Professor Christian Petersen (student of Anatol Ugorski). I also had the privilege of lessons and masterclasses with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and other distinguished musicians.
My pedagogical formation was shaped by remarkable teachers: Vassileia Efstathiadou — a renowned international pedagogue and former student and assistant of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling — and later by Maria Saboya, who traces her lineage through Sienkiewicz (a disciple of Ignaz Paderewski) and Evgeni Malinin (assistant to Heinrich Neuhaus). Their insights transformed my understanding of what piano technique truly is.
Today, after more than 35 years at the piano and 15+ years of teaching hundreds of students worldwide, I run an international online piano studio — bringing this depth of tradition and research directly to you.
Over the years, many students have come to me facing the same obstacles. Do any of these feel familiar?
Tension or pain caused by unhealthy technique, making playing uncomfortable or even damaging
Deeply ingrained habits that quietly block progress, often without the student realising it
Unclear or disorganised practice methods — spending hours at the piano with little to show for it
The frustrating feeling of being "stuck" — unable to advance despite real dedication and effort
Through working with hundreds of pianists, I have come to understand that technique is essential — but profoundly misunderstood. There is no single formula that works for everyone. Each pianist has unique hands, coordination, reflexes, and physical characteristics.
I have spent decades studying the full spectrum of piano pedagogy: from the finger schools of the 18th and 19th centuries, to the arm-weight approaches of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, to the anatomic-physiological methods that continue to evolve today. I have applied all of these to my own playing, worked with specialists, and tested them rigorously in practice.
The result is a flexible, fluid system of piano learning — one that can be shaped precisely to each individual student. This approach works equally well for beginners, advanced students, and professional concert pianists.
